2014 MadFin Shark Series RECAP

Well it is back to reality after 9 days in Key West pre-fishing and competing in the Outdoor Channel’s 2014 MadFin Shark Series. With 2 previous championships under our belts, we, Team Black Jack (Capt. Bo Johnson and First Mate Deidra) felt confident of our abilities, but respected the experience and talent of the other teams.

In the end, Team Black Jack, came in 2^nd by only 198 pts.. **9,952 vs 10,150**. SUPER CLOSE! Team Obsession (Carter and Heidi Andrews) hooked the winning fish with a minute before lines out! CONGRATS Y’all! XO!

Although it was tough not to take home 2 more trophies, we did make excellent TV and no doubt it’ll be a nail biter w the squall, hand-lining, long fights, and some tough hook out moments! Nothin’ like sticking your hands inside a bull sharks mouth, ah!

The 2015 Madfin Shark Series begins the first weekend in April airing on Friday nights at 7pm and Saturday mornings at 6am EST every week.
